My work demonstrates an exploration between artist and material. When creating my pieces, I focus on the process by using alternative materials and experimenting with ways of manipulating those materials. This investigation results in a play between textures: rough and smooth, intricate and minimal, crude and refined.
As art objects, my work references the body through the use of physical representation and notions of garment. In both cases, I am interested in examining ideas of protection and isolation, demonstrating this through structural confinement.
